Membership to AWMS is open to those who have an interest in scientific wildlife management. The full details of membership are defined in the constitution, however all new membership applications need to be approved by the AWMS Committee. Where possible, new members should seek nomination for membership by an existing member, however, if this is not possible, applications should still be submitted and the Committee will review the application. Membership covers a wide range of natural and social science professions primarily from Australia and New Zealand, but also from other Pacific Rim countries.
All members receive discounted conference registration fees at the annual AWMS conference, as well as the conferences of our affiliated organisation the South African Wildlife Management Association (SAWMA). Being an AWMS member gives you access to a wide range of industry professionals. If you're a student, take advantage of the wealth of experience amongst the membership and improve your knowledge and skills.
Memberships run yearly from the date of joining.
