If you would like to leave a bequest to further the Society's work in advancing science-based wildlife management, please see our information package here .
The Society has been approved as a Deductible Gift Recipient Organisation (DGRO) by the Australian Tax Office. This means that donations accepted by the Society are tax deductible under Australian law.
Donations can be any amount above the minimum of $AUD2. Taxpayers are able to claim the benefits of a tax deduction for a gift over a maximum of five years providing the gift is over $5000. In order to claim a deduction over five years, a claimant must fill out an election form and send it to the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Energy. An election pro-forma is available on request from the Department by telephone 0262741467 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org
Donors should note that a donation is made unconditionally. The donor gives of his/her free will to an organisation that is free to determine the purpose for which the donation will be used, within the confines of the Society’s objectives. The donor may state a preference as to how the gift might be used as long as the organisation has an unconditional discretion as to how it will use the gift.
Persons wishing to donate to the Society should first contact the Treasurer of the Australasian Wildlife Management Society (email@example.com) who will provide the appropriate banking details and arrange receipting.
The Society has established a Public Fund Committee which will oversee governance of the Public Fund.
